Book
I am in the process of writing a memoir about repair after sexual harm. I explore violations that are not immediately recognised, what we perceive as sexually violent and what women endure in our relationships with (particularly) men.
About the book
Since creating my award-winning play Foreign Body in 2015, I have been honoured to campaign alongside The Consent Collective and Heard’s Angles project with the intention of bringing about a more nuanced understanding about survivorship and sexual violence.
I am currently in the process of writing a memoir about my experiences of survivorship and healing. It charts the course of my life over ten years as I uncover, encounter and heal from seven different counts of sexual assault and rape. It aims to be a companion to other survivors, particularly those, like me, who did not recognise their assaults for what they were at the time.
